You’d be surprised how much personality can fit into a dog that only weighs up to 14 pounds. The Yorkiepoo is entertaining, loves to play, and is highly affectionate towards their family. These pups have plenty of energy to spare and will need some exercise every day. Thankfully, their small size allows them to burn off a lot of their energy within the house, don’t be surprised when they have the zoomies out of nowhere.
These adorable little pups are a mixed breed. They are a cross between a Yorkshire Terrier and a Miniature Poodle. Both of the Yorkiepoo's parents are very intelligent dogs, and this trait certainly got passed on. This dog loves learning new tricks and will be happy to show off in front of people. Given their love to perform, you won't need to suffer the embarrassment of showing someone the tricks your dog can perform, and your dog then standing there looking at you like you’re speaking Chinese.
Yorkiepoos tend to forget how small they are. This is cute when you see the little guy mouthing off to an 80 pound Doberman, but not so cute when they lunge at the bigger dog and get hurt. Interactions with smaller dogs are certainly a safer bet for this breed, and they should always be put in the small dog section at the dog park. The Yorkiepoo is a big barker in general, making them great watchdogs. They will alert you as soon as there is anyone suspicious approaching your door, lets just say their definition of suspicious includes just about everyone.
The Yorkiepoo is an incredibly fun pet to own, they will liven up your day with their amazing energy. They are loving companions and are typically very gentle around people. Their caring nature makes them wonderful therapy dogs, it is easy to find comfort with one of these cute dogs on your lap. These pups love nothing more than spending time with their people, and when they’re not bouncing off the walls, they will be more than happy to cuddle up on the couch with their family and watch a movie.
