The Terripoo is an intelligent little pup that makes a great family companion. They thrive on the attention of humans, and you can be sure that they will be the center of attention in any situation. They only weigh between 10-14 pounds, and they are extremely adorable.
These pups are a mixed breed between the Australian Terrier and the Miniature Poodle. The cross between these two purebred dogs began in the 1980s when breeding with Poodles was very popular. Mixing breeds with Poodles was a favored choice mainly because of their extremely high intelligence and their hypoallergenic qualities. This breed is also often referred to as a “Terridoodle”.
These doggos are very intuitive and they seem to have a good grasp of what is going on in every situation. They will behave in a way that will reflect the mood that their people are in. If they are sensing that you are feeling sad or down, they will make sure to get close to you for some extra cuddles. Their intuition applies to being a great watchdog as well, they will alert you long before anyone has made it to your front door.
The Terripoo has a friendly, loving personality and they are just about as playful as they come. Despite their small size, they have quite a bit of energy and will love being in the great outdoors. Since one of their parents is a Terrier, they retained a high prey drive and will always be on the lookout for anything that they can chase after. When they are at home, the Terripoo is a loyal companion that will love being close to their humans. There will never be a dull moment with these little guys around as they have a mischievous side to them too. Don’t be surprised if you come back home to find them with your socks in their mouth!
