Aussiedoodle

The Aussiedoodle makes an amazing pet. These dogs began being intentionally bred around the year 2000, and have been growing in popularity ever since. Considering all of their great characteristics, their popularity is no surprise. They are loyal, playful, and extremely intelligent.

This breed is a mix between the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle. The parent breeds are both highly intelligent dogs, and their offspring certainly picked up this trait. The “Aussiepoo” typically weighs between 25-70 pounds, depending on the size of the Poodle parent that is involved.

The characteristic that makes these dogs an especially great family pet is their love for playing with children. Interestingly, you make notice your pup nipping at the heels of your children in an attempt to “herd” them. This instinct is deeply rooted in their DNA from their Australian Shepherd parent.

If you own this dog, you surely know that they have a goofy side to them. Their intelligence combined with their playfulness gives them the ability to have everyone in the room laughing uncontrollably. Don’t be surprised when your house guests are reluctant to leave after meeting your pup!
