Frenchton

The Frenchton is an adorable mixed breed that combines the Boston Terrier and the French Bulldog. These little guys only weigh between 15-25 pounds, but they are plenty of fun to be around. They are known to be very social and love playing and being in the company of people. These pups are ideal if you are the kind of person that loves to bring your dog everywhere you go, they will never want to leave your side!

This mixed breed is relatively new, and it is not entirely certain where they were initially bred. The goal of mixing these two dogs was to create a healthier version of the purebred French Bulldog. Crossing two different breeds can often result in a healthier dog as it prevents the potential of inbreeding. The Frenchton is indeed a very healthy dog and can live up to 15 years.

Also sometimes referred to as “Frenchbo” or “Froston”, these dogs are always ready for an adventure. They are not extremely energetic and will not require vigorous exercise every day, but they still love to go on long walks and enjoy socializing with other dogs. The Frenchton will always be excited to meet new people, so don’t be surprised when they take the spotlight in every social encounter!

Given that this is a relatively new breed, there are not many strictly known breed characteristics. The Frenchton is a very intelligent dog, but training them can sometimes be difficult as they can be a little stubborn. The best way to get through to any pup is through positive reinforcement, but the Frenchton is especially sweet-natured and gentle, so they will not respond well to any kind of harsh training methods. The Frenchton is a wonderful choice for a family pet as they will always prefer being with people than being alone. They will quickly become attached to all of the family members, and they will definitely never get tired of everyone obsessing over how cute they are!
