The Goldador is about as friendly of a doggo as they come. These pups will get along great with everyone; other dogs, children, and adults alike. These dogs will be sure to alert you when someone is at the front door, but do not expect them to provide physical protection of any kind. They are a lot more likely to wag their tail and lick the face of an intruder than behave aggressively toward them. Their kindness is, in part, what has made them a fan favorite as a family dog.

The Goldador is a relatively new mixed breed that was initially developed in the 21st century, and they are a combination of the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever. In their short existence, they have already earned themselves a reputation as very capable working dogs. They were initially created to produce an exceptional working dog that would have the sensitivity of the Golden Retriever and the tolerance of a Labrador Retriever. The Goldador lived up to the expectations, and they are already proven to be among the best dogs for working as guide dogs, service dogs, search and rescue dogs, and therapy dogs.

This pup loves to socialize and has tons of energy, making the dog park one of their favorite locations. Daily exercise is a necessity for these dogs to feel their best, as they have tons of energy. The Goldador will also love going hiking and swimming, so be sure to take them on every adventure! This dog is large, weighing between 60-80 pounds, but is very easy to take care of. Given their high level of intelligence, and their eagerness to please their people, training them is typically not very difficult.

As a family companion, the Goldador is one of the most loyal dogs. They are super affectionate with their people and want to be part of every activity. Both of the Goldador’s parent breeds are among the most popular dogs in the world due to their great traits, so it does not come as a surprise that the combination of the two has produced such a wonderful dog. For the Goldador, they will enjoy nothing more than spending time with their family. Even if you are simply relaxing on the couch watching a movie, you can be sure that you will find your pup right by your side with their head on your lap.
