The Huskydoodle is a highly intelligent dog that is full of energy. This dog will not only need physical stimulation to feel healthy and happy but mental stimulation as well. Your Huskydoodle will love playing games at home that will require them to think and understand.
This breed is a mix between the Siberian Husky and the Poodle. The first intentional breeding of this animal was in the late 1990s in North America. The intention of breeding the Husky with the Poodle was to prevent the seasonal shedding that the purebred Husky experiences, this is usually one of the main reasons why breeders love to create mixed breeds with the Poodle.
These 40-60 pound dogs are also often referred to as “Siberpoo”, “Poosky”, “Siberian Poodle” and “Huskypoo”. The breed retained a strong pack mentality from their Husky parent, and whether it be with other dogs or other people, the Huskydoodle will love to have company. While this dog is very intelligent, they will often be stubborn when it comes to training, the key to success is being persistent and firm with your dog so that they understand that you are the leader of the pack.
The Huskypoo makes an amazing family dog and will love the excitement that will come with having many people at home. This breed can handle some unintentional rough play from children as well, which makes them a great fit for a family with kids at home. This breed will do best with an active family, as they’ve got plenty of energy to burn off and they are always ready for an adventure!
