Sheepadoodle

This breed is extremely intelligent. They are known to be among the best dogs at reading human emotions. Having a bad day? Feeling down? You can be sure your Sheepadoodle will be getting up close and personal for some cuddles and face licks. With the special emotion reading abilities that the Sheepadoodle has, they make excellent therapy and emotional support dogs. They are very popular companions for people suffering from mental illnesses, they can instinctively understand when their owner is having difficulties and will act immediately. 

This breed is a mix between an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle. They began to become extremely popular in the 1980s with allergy sufferers since they are considered hypoallergenic and shed next to nothing. While these pups are even-tempered, they need their daily exercise. Given their intelligence, they need mental stimulation as well or else they become bored…all of us dog owners know what happens when our pup gets overly bored. Thankfully, taking your Sheepadoodle to burn off their energy shouldn't be a difficult task as they love to play fetch, go for swims, play with other doggos, and learn new tricks. 

The Sheepadoodle is also known by various other names such as “Sheep-a-poo”, “Sheeppoo”, and “Sheepdoodle”. Typically weighing between 60-80 pounds, these dogs make excellent watchdogs as well. They thrive in the company of people, however, they have a good intuition for when something is suspicious and will make an absolute racket. To friends, these dogs are as friendly as they come and will be sure to greet all of your visitors with excitement. 

This breed makes an unbelievable family dog. They are highly playful and display tons of affection towards their loved ones. They also have fun personalities and will always keep everyone entertained. The nature of this breed makes them a pleasure to be around, and bringing one of these pups home is sure to result in having a new best friend. Despite all of their amazing traits, the best quality of the Sheepadoodle may just be that they love to snuggle!
