The Shiranian is an adorable little doggo that loves being the center of attention. They will do great with just about any owner as long as they get tons of love and affection throughout the day. These little guys like being pampered, and they use their cuteness to cast a spell on humans, which makes us give them anything they desire.
These pups are a mixed breed between the Shih Tzu and the Pomeranian. They have many different names and can be referred to as “Pomshi”, “Shih-Pom”, “Shih-A-Pom” and “Pom-Tzu”. Breeders began intentionally breeding these dogs in the late 1990s in North America to create a companion dog that would have fewer health issues than their purebred parents are sometimes predisposed to. The demand for these dogs grew, and they have been popular companion dogs ever since.
The Shiranian does require daily exercise, however, they are not bursting with energy at the seams like many other breeds. They will love to go out for a play session but will also be more than happy to stay at home and cuddle up while you watch a movie. This mixed breed typically weighs up to 16 pounds, so their small size allows them to burn off energy within the house.
These doggos get very excited when there is company over, especially when everyone is admiring how adorable they are. They can never get enough attention and will be friendly and playful with just about anyone they meet. The Shiranian will make a wonderful host and will always have your guests leaving with a smile on their faces. Don’t be surprised if you have people coming to visit you more often after bringing one of these little guys home!
