Located at 8311 John Downs Loop in Pasadena, MD, this official dog park offers a great environment for dog owners and their furry friends. The park features well-maintained trails and two areas for dogs to swim—one designated off-leash area and another on-leash area. While the fenced-off area is relatively small, most dogs typically stay within the bounds, thanks to a natural rock wall acting as a barrier. Users appreciate the park's cleanliness, ample shade, and the convenience of nearby restroom facilities, though dogs are not allowed inside. Entry to the park is $6 in cash, and it tends to be quite busy, especially on weekdays, so if your dog is reactive, you may want to plan your visit accordingly. Owners have noted that dogs can swim around the rocks at the edge, so keep an eye on them. Although there is no hose-off area available, enthusiastic pups will love the space, plenty of trails for walking, and the chance to socialize with other dogs. Overall, this park offers a fun outing where your dog can enjoy the outdoors and even learn to swim!

Clean, well-maintained, some shade. Steps lead to the beach; no ramp. Nice, shady stroll from the parking to the dog beach. Fence ends at the rocks and can be swim around by a determined dog. Restroom near the dog beach entrance with outside dog parking since dogs not allowed in restroom. No hose-off area that I'm aware of so take a gallon to rinse. $6 cash to enter the park. Dogs were unleashed; no behavioral issues while I was there. Went on a non-holiday weekday and it was quite busy. Wouldn't recommend a weekend if you have issues with crowded space. My pup had a blast and that's what matters.

Very cute, dog friendly park! There are lots of trails, and two areas for dogs to swim. One is open, so they must be on a leash. The other area is mostly fenced in- one side is a wall of rocks that acts as a fence and technically a dog could go over it but most seem to avoid it so I have never seen issues with dogs getting out of the area. The fenced in area is kind of small, but it allows you to take your dog off leash which is nice. It does get crowded during certain times of the day so if you have a reactive dog it is probably not the place to go. Overall really nice and fun for both my dog and I, and he even learned how to swim here!!
