CGGQ+V7 Colwood, BC, Canada park-icon-wath
If you're a dog owner looking for a great spot in Colwood, BC, you'll want to check out this dog-friendly area located at CGGQ+V7. This park offers scenic walks along a beautiful beach where you can enjoy breathtaking ocean views, interesting driftwood sculptures, and lovely low tide conditions perfect for a leisurely stroll with your furry friend. The park accommodates canine companions, making it a go-to place for many local dog owners. Keep in mind that while the general area allows dogs off-leash, there are specific zones where leashes are required, particularly near the bird sanctuary and due to increasing enforcement of leash regulations. Some users have noted that despite the leash rules, many visitors let their dogs roam free, so be cautious of the busy road and adhere to local regulations for your pet's safety. Overall, whether you’re looking for a short walk or a longer hike of up to 10 kilometers, this picturesque spot provides a fun and engaging experience for both you and your dog.

We always go here. It either 3,5 or 10 kms on the ocean. We are always off leash with no issues at all. Low tide is amazing.

Beautiful beach and interesting driftwood statues make this a fun and easy walk along the ocean. Caution about a busy road that runs through and a bird sanctuary on one side.

At this end, dogs must be kept on leash. I've been told enforcement is increasing.

Not a park at all but a nice beach and walk to take your dog. Can get really busy as it's a lovely beach but my dog really enjoyed himself. It's within walking distance to our house so we go often. Always clean. Dogs must be kept on leash but people flagrantly ignore that.
