Located at 59 Randolph Ave, St. Paul, MN 55102, this official dog park is a local favorite for dog owners. It serves as a go-to spot for those living nearby, especially during peak hours right before and after typical workdays. The park tends to get busy in the late afternoons as owners look to give their furry friends some outdoor time, particularly as the days grow shorter in the fall. Although the park is generally well-maintained, some users note that weed control can be an issue during the summer months, easing significantly after seasonal mowing. Recent additions of trees have improved areas previously prone to muddy conditions, especially after rains or melting snow. However, visitors are advised to wear grippy attachments like YakTrax during the icy months from January to April, as certain spots can turn into slick surfaces. Enhancements such as street lighting for winter evening visits have been suggested by users to improve access during shorter days. Overall, this park is a great option for those looking to socialize their dogs in a vibrant community space.

Love this park, it’s very close to home so it’s our “default”. Typically pretty busy right before and right after standard 9-5 office hours during the week. Noticeably busier in the last few weeks between 4-6pm as it’s getting dark earlier and everyone is trying to squeeze in outdoor time for their pals (including us). This park is fairly well maintained, the weeds can get out of hand in some parts during the summer before they do a major mowing in late summer. The addition of new trees a few years ago has helped a lot with some of the areas that turned into mud pits when it rained or the snow was melting. Wear grippy attachments like YakTrax on your boots when you visit in January-April if it’s been icy on the roads. This park turns into a hard and thick ice skating rink, so it really helps, especially right inside the entrance/under the bridge where it’s shady a lot of the day. One improvement I wish for but don’t expect is some street lights for extending possible park hours in the winter. That would be so nice.
