Located at 710 E Lake Dr in Edwardsville, IL, this official dog park offers a tranquil setting for you and your furry friends. With real grass and plenty of trees for shade, it's a great spot for dogs to play and explore without the heat of turf in the summer. The park is fully fenced in, featuring a double gate for secure entry, which is particularly beneficial for escape artist dogs. Users appreciate the park's low traffic, allowing for a more relaxed experience for both pets and owners. While the park does come with some amenities like a dog bag/trash station and a water station nearby, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Reviews mention that the park can turn muddy after rain and that one entry gate isn't properly installed, leaving a gap that could pose a security issue. Additionally, some visitors find the park size on the smaller side and note that the walk from the parking area can be quite a trek. Despite these concerns, it remains a good choice for a secluded outing where dogs can sniff and play freely.

I enjoy that this park isn’t super busy and is real grass, not turf that gets super hot in the summer. Do keep in mind that it could be muddy if it has rained recently. There are lots of trees for shade and it is fully fenced in. There is also a double gate for entry which is always a requirement for my escape artist pups! There is also a dog bag/trash station inside the park and a water station right outside the park. My complaints would be that one of the entry gates is not installed well and there is a huge gap, so the gate barely closes. It works well enough to keep my dogs secure, but just barely. I don’t love how small the park is and I also don’t love how far of a walk it is from parking. Other than that, it’s a good, secluded park to bring your dogs for some sniffing and playing!
