The ground is ceader woodchips. It helps when it's raining in the winter and prevents the ground from being muddy (unless there is unusally heavy rain). In the summer it xan be a bit dry and dusty since sometimes we have no rain for months. The ceader chips can also leave splinters in your socks/shoes, so thick socks and boots are good to prevent that. There's no big/little dog seperation, or close fountain. There's a fountian at the top of the hill by the playground in the same park, and most people bring water with them. There's two grabage bins beside the dogpark gates for dog poop only, and trash bins for garbage pretty close (by the basketball court). They might continue to work on the park, it's still pretty new and it was originally meant to be a temporary dog park.
