**Review of South Bend Dog Park** I recently visited South Bend Dog Park, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. The park is quite spacious and fully fenced, which is great for letting your dog off-leash to run around. There's a fountain, hose, doggy swimming pools, and even some toys available, though most of the toys were pretty beaten up, so I’d suggest bringing your own. The large rocks scattered around the park are fun for dogs to climb on, and there are picnic tables if you want to sit and relax while your dog plays. The park is located on a large hill, which provides an incredible view of the lake below. If you have a large, active dog and enjoy hiking, this park could be a great fit. However, the steep hill might be too challenging for puppies, elderly dogs, or less experienced pups, so I wouldn’t recommend it for them. The main road at the bottom of the hill is busy with traffic, so it’s important to be cautious. One downside is the lack of public restrooms, so be sure to take care of that before you arrive. Another concern I had was with the maintenance of the park. While I didn’t personally see any holes in the fence, I read several reviews online that mentioned this issue, so if your dog is an escape artist, it’s something to be wary of. Additionally, the trash cans were overflowing during my visit, with garbage scattered on the ground, which could be a hazard if your dog likes to get into things. Overall, I would give South Bed Dog Park 3 stars. The view is stunning, and the park is a good spot for energetic, adventurous dogs, but the maintenance issues and the challenging terrain make it less appealing for a return visit.

This park has a very pretty view looking out over a lake however, the park is directly on a hill and could be unsafe for senior dogs. The park is also not up kept there was lots of litter on the ground in at the front entrance gate.
