Nestled in Naperville, IL, the park at 29W128 83rd St serves as an official dog park and offers a spacious environment for dogs and their owners to enjoy. While this expansive area is primarily a forest preserve, it features beautiful walking paths and a large field that's perfect for play. However, it's important to note that dogs are technically required to be on a leash, and owners should maintain compliance with local regulations, including obtaining a license for their pets and ensuring vaccinations are current. The park includes two entrances: one from Naperville Rd, equipped with a porta potty and shaded picnic tables (keep in mind, mosquitoes can be bothersome during certain seasons), and another that tends to be busier with school groups. Although there is no water fountain provided for dogs, the serene surroundings and ample space make it an ideal spot for a day out. Just be sure to prepare accordingly, and enjoy the scenic trails and open areas with your furry friend!

This is a huge huge park but it's a forest preserve more than anything. Technically you aren't allowed to have your dog off leash here but Ive done wildlife photography many times here and I've never seen anyone checking. Technically for any of the forest preserves in will county (also dupage and maybe Kane) you're supposed to have a "license" for your dog and wear a badge. It's a yearly fee and they have to be up to date on vaccines. (I'm just the messenger... I don't appreciate the policy..) Anyway there's two entrances, miles apart from each other (that's how huge this place is). The one off of Naperville Rd has a porta potty, a shaded area with tables (mosquitoes though at certain times of the year), but no water fountain. The other entrance is usually where school buses park to take lunch (I guess that's what they're doing) and is more crowded. There's a larger pavilion and lots of walkers in beautiful weather.
