The park features well-maintained trails for easy walking and ample opportunities for your furry friends to swim and play along the shore. Beautiful, scenic park and easy walk on the main trail. You can also walk along the shore, on either side of the main trail, and allow dogs to swim and play.

Wiffin spit is an ON leash park. There are two other routes (left side of the parking lot beach walk leading to possession point) and on the (right side of the parking lot is another beach which has about a 20-30 min walk to stairs Austin’s plc off of deerlepe rd) both side are off leash but the wiffin spit walk itself is on leash. If you choose to take the right side beach, I’ve encountered sea otters almost every time a go down there (tried to attack my pup a couple times but she’s never been hurt) I’d suggest the right side as it has a spectacular view of the ocean and states with a peaceful walk

Love this beach, easy walk surrounded by the ocean. Just be mindful of what can wash up on the beach (seal carcasses)
