May as well go to any other dog park and just bring a 6-pack. Cute, clean, medium sized yard. Most people there are fun to talk to. I didn’t mind entry fees for a more exclusive dog park experience, they have attendants to monitor the dogs playing and pick up poo. Unfortunately a few bad apples (owners not pups) ruin it for everyone else, and Yard Bar’s system has little in place to enforce/maintain a friendly atmosphere. Some dogs do not enjoy a social park environment and for whatever reason their owners still bring them, and don’t pay attention or monitor their behavior. Fights escalate all the time, which was the opposite of what they advertise. When a dog is a repeat offender, and clearly overstimulated and exhibiting violent/distressed behavior, the employees just separate the dogs and let it play out over and over and over. There are truly some dogs that go around terrorizing the whole park while the owners sit on their phones. After my dog got attacked twice out of a monthly membership we won’t be returning. It’s mostly a nice place to hangout but if the vibes are off, then it’s really bad. Once my dog got tackled off of a picnic table (asking for an ACL tear) and then two others went for his stomach. The employees did their best to fend off the instigators but had their hands full. Also, they don’t make you verify vaccination status, it’s honor system, which is kinda sus. Avoid this area on weekday evenings especially as there are often dogs with pent up energy from being locked home all day. it’s a great place to hangout until it goes bad.
